Overview of the yeast infection skin


The most common skin yeast infection in the human is candidiasis caused by Candida species. There are more than 20 species of Candida is present, but the most common is Candida albicans. These species live on all surfaces of the human body but only occasionally caused the infections. There are various types of yeast infections of the skin, which most common infections are given below:

· Is the most common infection of the mouth. The main symptom is a white patches in the mouth. It generally occurs on the people with less immunity such as AIDS, cancer, diabetes and other chronic diseases patients.

· Cheilitis is another infection gets into the skin around the lips soft and there are wrinkles around the mouth.

· Intertrigo causes irritation to the skin folds. This occurs typically in the moist and warm areas of the body such as arms.

· Diaper rash is the infection in the diaper area. It is also a candidal infection.

· Body rash is a more common infection caused mainly due to the heavy sweating, use of antibiotics and lack of exercise.

· Candidal vulvovaginitis is the infection in the vagina. Vaginitis is caused by Candida albicans, which is a common resident in this area. The symptoms are severe burning, itching, irritation and redness.

· An other skin yeast infection is congenital cutaneous candidiasis. It is passed to a child by birth canal.

· Candidal Paronychia is the infection of the nail fold. It causes severe burning to the attacked site. It may discharge of pus all around the fingernail.

· Corneal interdigitalis Blastomycetica is an infection between the fingers. The symptoms are redness and softening the skin. It is common to people with diabetes and people who touch water a lot of work.

· Mukokutaner candidiasis is an other skin yeast infection that occurs due to a genetic defect.

Our immune system prevents usually candidiasis. But somehow by some disease, the chance get attacked by Candida albicans increases ID that is immunity.
